Silicone mask workshop: Next Class Begins SEPT 2-17, 2017

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a LIVE STREAMING WORKSHOP. The class will stream using Youtube Live service.

PROTOCAL:

1. To access this live class, students will need to email us to receive their login password via email.  We will also ask the student to provide their YouTube name, for example: ours is Escape Design FX. This will allow us to track who actually signed up for the class and who might be viewing without permission. 

2. EDFX will then email everyone a list of the materials for the project. Participants can work along side the instructor, or simply take notes. (NOTE: No one will be authorized to record this live streaming workshop in any way or any reason. Unauthorized recording, distribution,  and or sale of this live streaming workshop with be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.)

3. Participants can ask questions via comments, which will be answered real time. 

CLASS SCHEDULE: 

WEEK 1

Saturday:

  • 10-15 mins opening Broadcasting. Giving people time to login
  • 3 hours of Sculpting. References, Set up, Blocking, and Rough Detail. 
  • 30 mins of Question and Answer

Sunday:

  • 10-15 mins opening Broadcasting. Giving people time to login
  • 3 hours of Sculpting. Rough Detail and Fine Detail. Prepping the sculpture. 
  • 30 mins of Question and Answer.

WEEK 2 

Saturday:

  • 10-15 mins opening Broadcasting. Giving people time to login. 
  • 3 hours of mold set up on side one, materials, and process.
  • 30 mins of general Questions and Answers
  • NOTE: There will be some wait time while the molding materials cure, which we will open up to questions and answers. 

Sunday:

  • 10-15 mins opening Broadcasting. Giving people time to login. 
  • 3 hours of mold set up on side two and demolding.
  • 30 mins of general Questions and Answers
  • NOTE: There will be some wait time while the molding materials cure, which we will open up to questions and answers. 

WEEKEND 3

Saturday:

  • 10-15 mins opening Broadcasting. Giving people time to login. 
  • 3 hours of cleaning, seaming, and paint prep. 
  • 30 mins of general Questions and Answer

Sunday:

  • 10-15 mins opening Broadcasting. Giving people time to login. 
  • 3 hours of painting, sealing, introductions to hair punching. 
  • 30 mins of general Questions and Answers
  • NOTE: Project may completed early so the remaining time will be opened up to Question and Answers

Students will be responsible for their own work and be expected to take good notes. 

Our course is taught by Russ Adams from SyFy Channel's Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge and author of the popular how-to series, A Workshop with Russ Adams (available on Amazon). Class rates include 27-30 hours of instruction. When complete, clients leave with a good working knowledge of how to creature and replicate their very own silicone mask.
